二零一七年七月二日在哥伦比亚大学全球中心北京举办的“全球资本时代下的创意,劳力,与环境纪录”纪录片研讨会上,我得以看到感兴趣已久的两部纪录片,《中国梵高》和《塑料王国》。其中前者与当代艺术生态和艺术史的诸多问题的紧密联系和探讨使我思考良久。

《中国梵高》里隐含的批判其实不只是全球资本主义在中国这样以盛产制造业流水线工人闻名的国家的另一种文化产业里的形态,也不只是全球资本主义中处在产业链下端的边缘生态。还有一个更深层次的批判,意在反过来直指处在中心位置的西方文化艺术体系,一个在影片里无处不在却直到后半段才以实体出现的庞大主体。
